Sunny Day Fun
We are making the most of the sunny days here in California, growing our first successful crop of tomatoes (Amazingly Yummy!), applying sunscreen regularly, playing outside in the morning and evening, and in the blazing hot afternoon, finding activities to enjoy indoors. The robot box was Norah's idea, and so was picking out the sunflower seeds and putting them in a cup - she sowed them later on.

If you look at the photo of Adam playing with his cars, you'll see that it is all set up on a play mat - another brilliant Montessori idea for helping a child have a sense of their own play space. We use these interlocking, multi-colored foam mats (we bought ours at Lowe's) for play spaces, forts, and tunnels.
